Before the teams compete on the field, they will have to battle it out in the “Big Game Show.” The show will begin at 5 p.m. at Riverview Hall in downtown Shreveport.
“The Big Game Show” is a friendly competition between the teams before they take the gridiron, which consists of coaches and players participating in three different game shows. Members of the audience will also have an opportunity to participate too!
Sunday, December 29 - 7:30 a.m.
Bossier Civic Center
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes' local chapter will sponsor a full breakfast for the players and coaches at the Bossier Civic Center. This event is open to the public.
Tickets are just $5 and can be purchased through the Northwest Louisiana Chapter of the FCA as well as the Independence Bowl Office.
Monday, December 30 - 11:30 a.m.
Former LSU standout offensive lineman Kevin Mawae will be the guest speaker in the inaugural Brookshire’s Team Luncheon.
Brookshire’s Food and Pharmacy, the official grocer of the AdvoCare V100 Bowl, will provide lunch for the event, with a menu featuring some of Louisiana’s signature dishes.
Mawae - a 2013 Inductee in the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame - spent 16 years in the NFL, playing primarily at center, where he was an eight-time All-Pro selection and selected to eight Pro Bowl teams. He played for the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans during his career.
Monday, December 30 - 6 p.m.
Head out to the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City the night before the game to catch the AT&T Parade and Pep Rally down the main street of the Boardwalk.
Come get a taste of Louisiana Carnival Time featuring Mardi Gras Floats, as well as the bands, cheerleaders and mascots from each team.
This event is free and open to the public!
Tuesday, December 31 - 8 a.m.
Bring the entire family out to the Hirsch Coliseum before the game for the MetroPCs Fan Fest, which features local cuisine, live music, inflatable games and more.
The AdvoCare No. 3 NASCAR Nationwide Series showcar will also be on display on the Fairgrounds.
